This is a very special lady ...
living in Oakland, her visits to SoCal are now often limited to the Holiday Season. Although I get to see her only once a year,
these days, we make the most of our time together, and over the years have achieve many very dramatic styles.

She is now newly engaged, and will be getting married later in the year. Planning a special style for her big day, means growing her hair a little, so I can create an "up-do" ... but of course, we must keep a strong, interesting style, as we go.

Unfortunately for both of us, she lives in Dallas, so arranging regular visits to the salon is easy.

My Grand-Daughter's Photo Shoot for a Christmas Gift to Her Parents

Sarah spend the entire week before Christmas visiting us from San Diego ...
and the idea of a photo shoot evolved, as she tried to decide on a special gift for her parents.
We chose to use one of my salon days off, to do a full photo session, when we'd have plenty of time to play ...
and spend nearly 3 hours capturing these images. We barely finished as the sun was setting, and the light was disappearing.
Many of you may remember Alexis, who provided the make-up, doing a wonderful job achieving the look Sarah wanted.

As her grand-father, I had so much fun on this project ... it was truely a special day to remember.

Fortunately for all involved, Sarah is a wonderful, well-grounded young lady ... otherwise, we'd all be in big trouble!
